Management Team

David Hancock, Chief Executive Officer
David Hancock worked in the mobile air conditioning business starting in 1994. He began in retail and service and then in 1997 became the Chief Executive Officer of Hodyon. He has served in that position ever since. Beginning in 2004, David was part of the innovative 10H development team that was responsible for the Aftermarket A/C division of Hodyon. Starting in 2009, David guided Hodyon out of the mobile air conditioning business by selling Hodyon’s Aftermarket A/C division and leading the launch of Hodyon’s APUs division. This transition from mobile air conditioning to APUs led to Hodyon’s acquisition by Fallbrook Technologies. Prior to his time with Hodyon, he worked as an accountant for Arthur Andersen. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1993 with a BBA in Accounting.

Terry Nielsen, Vice President of Manufacturing Operations
Terry Nielsen has worked in the mobile air conditioning aftermarket for 20 years, utilizing his expertise in both design and manufacturing. Prior to joining Hodyon in 2006, he was co-founder of CompressorWorks, the first maker of new a/c compressors only for the automotive aftermarket, where he served as Director of Engineering. Prior to CompressorWorks, Terry was Engineering Manager for Four Seasons Division of Standard Motor Products. He has more than 30 years experience in manufacturing and has been a part of several start-up operations. Terry received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston.

 

Damon “DJ” Roberts, APU Operation Plant Manager

Damon Roberts joined Hodyon in March 2011 as the Operations Plant Manager. Damon brings more than a decade of manufacturing and management experience both domestically and internationally with sophisticated platforms from Applied Materials, HelioVolt Corp., and Xtreme Power. Most recently he was Program Manager for Fallbrook Technologies, a leading developer of revolutionary drivetrain technology. He has directed the startup of multi-million dollar projects, led multiple plant layout activities and managed startup activities of green projects for government entities. Damon earned a Bachelors of Applied Sciences from Midwestern State University and has over eight years of technical experience with the US Navy.


Rick Shaff, Director of Sales
Formerly the CEO of Black Rock Systems and served in that capacity from December 2007 through June 2010. Rick has worldwide experience managing public and private companies. His public company experience includes serving as CFO and CEO of iGo Corporation (IGOC) and being a senior executive with International Game Technology (IGT). Rick gained global experience during the 10 years he lived in Sydney, Australia while with IGT. During this time, Rick served in a variety of senior management positions including Director of Finance, Director of System Sales, Director of Engineering, and during his final 3 years, he served as Managing Director responsible for IGT subsidiaries in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Rick’s experience includes company turnaround success, strategic planning, government relations, building distribution and service networks, and leading and assisting in strategic acquisitions. Rick has a B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
